After The Blind Star star Quinton Aaron was hospitalized and put on life support, his family now plans to investigate the actor’s wife, Margarita Aaron.
In a statement provided to Us Weekly on Tuesday, February 3, the Aaron family said, “Since the health crisis of our beloved family member Quinton Aaron, we have raised some suspicions about the legitimacy of Quinton and Margarita’s marriage to each other, as well as her legitimacy as a registered nurse. We have found some alarming details.”
The statement continued, “We as a family believe Margarita isn’t who she claimed to be to us. This has caused us to want to investigate her further.”
Us Weekly has reached out to Margarita for comment.
Speaking exclusively to Us on Tuesday, Quinton’s cousin Asia, 29, also alleges that Margarita has been married to another man “for 34 years,” telling Us on Tuesday, “I spoke to her real legal husband myself.”
Margarita, for her part, spoke to TMZ on Tuesday, telling the outlet that she and Quinton “got spiritually married” when they tied the knot in December 2024. The outlet also stated that Margarita holds “no power of attorney” and has never made medical decisions on Quinton’s behalf.

However, Quinton’s brother, Jarred Aaron, told TMZ on Tuesday that he believed Margarita was assisting in making “crucial and life-saving medical decisions.”
In response to Aaron’s claim, Margarita told the outlet, “If he’s saying I’m such a bad person, why does he live with me and Quinton?”
Jarred noted that he had not told Quinton of his allegations regarding Margarita as he is “going to wait until he makes a full recovery.” He added, “I genuinely fear for my brother’s life.”
In an earlier statement obtained by Us on Thursday, January 29, the Aaron family confirmed that Quinton had been admitted into an Atlanta hospital after suffering a “spinal stroke.” Quinton’s legs had stopped functioning as he was walking up stairs in his apartment and he had collapsed as a result.

The family said at the time, “We acknowledge that you’ve heard about Quinton Aaron’s condition. We appreciate the overwhelming love, support and prayers that Quinton has received over the past few days from his fans, the public and our concerned community.”
An update on the actor’s health was also provided by the family as part of the statement. “He is alert, aware and recovering. The Aaron family has a lot to deal with for the betterment of their loved one, but will be sure to keep everyone posted regarding Quinton’s health as we see fit,” it continued.
The family also noted that factual information regarding Quinton’s health will only be delivered by a “blood relative” via the family’s spokesperson and “lifelong friend” Liana Mendoza, urging the public to ignore misinformation from other sources.
Days later, Margarita launched a GoFundMe campaign that detailed Quinton’s condition. “This has been sudden, frightening, and overwhelming for his loved ones. As he fights for his life, his family is facing an immense emotional and financial burden — including mounting medical-related expenses, ongoing living costs, and the uncertainty of how long this road to recovery may be,” a statement on the page read.
It continued, “When someone is this critically ill, life doesn’t pause. Bills don’t stop. Expenses continue to pile up. And no family should have to choose between focusing on their loved one’s survival and worrying about how they will make it through financially. That’s why we are asking for help.”
The campaign had raised almost $48,000 via more than 640 donations at the time of publication.
