Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are putting on a united front.
Perry, 41, was photographed holding hands with a smiling Trudeau, 54, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday, January 20.
Trudeau was attending the event to give a speech on the “virtues of soft power,” per CBC. Perry reportedly watched from her seat in the audience.
In his speech, Trudeau reportedly referenced a recent “date with an American girl to a rooftop bar in Montreal,” where “she ordered a Jack and Coke” but was told the drink wasn’t available.
“The server kindly informed her that there was no more American alcohol, not just in that bar but anywhere in Montreal and probably anywhere across the entire country,” Trudeau explained, per the outlet. “That’s an example of Canadians standing up for each other, that’s an example of soft power, being motivated to be there for each other at a time of stress, at a time of anxiety.”
While Trudeau did not identify Perry as the “American girl” at the Montreal bar, the pair were seen in the city in July 2025 and dined at a bar called Taverne Atlantic.
Perry and Trudeau were first spotted together in the Québec city days before he attended her Lifetimes Tour show. A source exclusively told Us Weekly at the time that their dinner outing was “definitely” a date but noted it was “casual.”
Months later, an insider told Us that Perry is “very happy” and keeping the romance with Trudeau “low-key.”

Perry and Trudeau made their first major public appearance together in October 2025 with a date at Crazy Horse Paris to celebrate the pop star’s 41st birthday. The pair were seen walking out of the club holding hands.
Two months later, Perry and Trudeau met with former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida while traveling in the country.
“Former Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau came to Japan with his partner, Katy Perry, and had lunch with us,” Kishida wrote via Instagram in December 2025. “During my time as Prime Minister, I met Prime Ministers many times, and when I visited Canada, we worked together to strengthen bilateral relations, including formulating the Nikka Action Plan. I am glad that we are continuing this friendship.”
While recapping her holiday season, Perry uploaded a photo earlier this month of herself leaning in to kiss Trudeau beside a body of water. “Holidaze ♥️,” Perry captioned the Instagram post.
Before her romance with Trudeau, Perry was in a relationship with Orlando Bloom from 2016 until the pair called off their engagement in June 2025. The exes share daughter Daisy Dove, 5.
“Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,” a source close to the pair exclusively told Us in June 2025. “It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”
Justin, for his part, split from wife Sophie Trudeau in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage. The exes share kids Xavier, Ella-Grace and Hadrien.
