The Henry Ikoh Governorship Campaign Organisation has rejected the result of the Abia APC governorship primary election held on Thursday. PREMIUM TIMES earlier reported that the APC declared a renowned businessman, Eric Opah, as the winner of its governorship primary for the 2027 general elections. 119 rounds of 7.62mm AK-47 live ammunition concealed in a bag have been uncovered by the Gombe State Police Command along Kalshingi Road in Kwadon, Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area of the state. A Nigerian man, Adepoju Salako, has been sentenced to a year and a half in prison for committing wire fraud through a 2022 Permanent Fund Dividend fraud scheme in the United States. Salako, a resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania devised a scheme to defraud the Alaska Department of Revenue PFD programme. The 33-year-old was sentenced on Tuesday following the court documents revealing his fraudulent activities between January and February 2022. Operatives of the Enugu State Police Command have arrested two suspects for alleged involvement in illicit drug peddling in the Nkanu East Local Government Area of the state. The command also recovered a large quantity of substances suspected to be variants of Cannabis sativa, popularly known as Indian hemp, during separate intelligence-led operations.
