Former presidential candidate, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, has called on the Kano State Commissioner of Police to immediately withdraw security officers stationed at the Nasarawa palace of the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero. Suspected armed bandits have attacked a Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) outpost in Niger State and made away with a service rifle. The attack took place at an NSCDC nipping point in Ibrahim Leteh Village along the Wawa–Luma Road in the early hours of Tuesday. Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has signed the state’s 2026 Appropriation Bill into law. This was contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Daniel Alabrah, on Tuesday. Diri had initially presented a budget of N991.371 million to the state House of Assembly, but the legislature increased it to N1.01 trillion.
