The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has called for an investigation into the passage of the tax reform laws. The association cited serious concerns over the integrity, transparency, and credibility of Nigeria’s legislative process. The Court of Appeal sitting in Akure has set aside the judgment of the Osun State High Court which dismissed a chieftaincy suit challenging the appointment of Oba Kehinde Oladepo as the Salu of Edunabon. The appellate court, in a unanimous decision delivered by Justice Oyebisi Folayemi Omoleye, held that the lower court erred in law by dismissing the suit at the preliminary stage without hearing it on its merits. The Federal Government has ordered an immediate security reinforcement at all dormant oil wells in Ogoniland, Rivers State, to prevent interference and acts of sabotage. The Lagos State Command and Control Centre has disclosed that medical emergencies and road crashes accounted for the bulk of the 11,127 emergency incidents recorded across the state between January and November 2025.
