Chelle urges improvement following Eagles victory over Tanzania

Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, has called for improvements despite Nigeria’s 2-1 victory over Tanzania in their opening match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Jigawa Assembly passes 2026 appropriation bill 

Jigawa State House of Assembly has passed into law the State 2026 Appropriation Bill of N901.8 billion and Local Government Budgets of N288 billion respectively. Nasarawa APC adopts consensus for congresses

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State has agreed to use consensus to choose party officials at ward, local government, state and national levels ahead of its congresses. NNL fines Gombe United N2.5m for crowd troubles 

The Nigeria National League, NNL, imposed a fine of N2.5m on Gombe United following fans encroachment, harassment and intimidation of match officials. The league body said Gombe United breached multiple regulations, including failing to provide adequate security and control of their supporters. Two officers killed in Moscow explosion

Two police officers were killed in an overnight explosion in Moscow when they tried to stop a suspicious person, Russia’s Investigative Committee said in a statement Wednesday. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority has confirmed that a loaded Mack 40ft containerised truck fell on Ojuelegba Bridge inward National Stadium,  Surulere.
