Ghanaian security agencies have arrested 48 suspected cyber criminals in a coordinated, intelligence-led operation in the Greater Accra Region. The arrests were carried out by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) in collaboration with the National Security and the Ghana Police Service during a nighttime operation at the Dawhenya part of Ghana. Troops of the Nigerian Army have thwarted a kidnapping attempt along the Otukpo–Enugu Expressway in Benue State, rescuing 24 passengers made up of 20 adults and four minors. The rescue operation followed an attempted abduction of passengers travelling in two commercial buses by suspected armed bandits. The Katsina State Police Command has arrested 20 people over alleged rape and other offences as part of efforts to reduce crime in the state. The Commissioner of Police, Bello Shehu, made the revelation during a press briefing at the Command Headquarters in Katsina.
