Women from three villages of Amaidi Amanyanwu and Onuzo in Imobi autonomous community of Uturu, Abia State, on Tuesday morning protested around the community, alleging that some individuals from one of the villages are attempting to grab control of granite deposits in their land. A total of 22 communities in Ibadan, Oyo State, will experience about three hours of daily power outage due to ongoing road construction, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company has said. In a statement issued on its Facebook Page on Tuesday, IBEDC attributed the outage to road construction works along Foodco Road and Idi Isin, which necessitated the relocation of some of its facilities and assets in the area.
