The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has resumed the nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, marking the commencement of the second phase of the process. The exercise resumed on Monday after the first phase ended on December 10, 2025. INEC had earlier opened online pre-registration on August 18, 2025, before commencing physical registration at centres nationwide on August 25, 2025. According to the commission, 9,891,801 Nigerians began the online pre-registration during the first phase.However, only 2,572,054 people completed their registration nationwide as of November 28, 2025. Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said no presidential aspirant will step down in the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential race. Atiku said this in a statement Tuesday through his media adviser, Paul Ibe,  adding that all aspirants will present themselves freely. He also urged Nigerians to resist efforts by the All Progressives Congress, APC, to intimidate and weaken the opposition. Rafiu Durosinmi has made history as the most expensive signing for Serie A club Pisa SC, DAILY POST reports. Durosinmi completed his permanent transfer to the club from Czech First Division outfit, Viktoria Plzen on Monday. Viktoria Plzen received €11m package, plus  add-ons for the striker. The National Association of Nigerian Students on Tuesday called off its planned nationwide protest against the new Tax Reform Act following engagements with the Nigeria Revenue Service, formerly the Federal Inland Revenue Service, and other government agencies. The Rivers State Police Command said its operatives have arrested twelve suspects in connection with an attack on an estate in Mbodo, Aluu, in Ikwerre local government area of the state on Monday afternoon. The police said the armed assailants, who include members of a vigilante group code-named ‘OSPAC’ and hired thugs, invaded the estate in a commando manner, shot sporadically, damaging vehicles and parts of the estate. The Flow Foundation on Tuesday published a technical post-mortem detailing a protocol-level exploit that occurred on Dec. 27, when an attacker was able to counterfeit tokens on the network, resulting in about $3.9 million in confirmed losses before the exploit was contained.According to the report, the attacker exploited a flaw in Flow’s Cadence runtime that allowed certain assets to be duplicated rather than minted, bypassing supply controls without accessing or draining existing user balances.
