The Cross River Internal Revenue Service (CRIRS) has announced the implementation of the Tax Reform Act, effective January 1, aimed at improving tax administration and service delivery. The Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom have charged a 17-year-old boy with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Nigerian national, John Onetufo, in south-east London. Onetufo, 23, was discovered with multiple stab wounds to the chest after police responded to an emergency call on Grove Street, Lewisham, on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has clarified its decision to withhold access codes from the Labour Party for uploading the names of candidates for the February 21, 2026, Federal Capital Territory Area Council elections. Troops of the 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, operating under the Joint Task Force Operation Enduring Peace, have raided a kidnappers’ hideout in Plateau State, arresting suspects and recovering weapons. The sale involved 120,400,000 ordinary shares, acquired by Heirs Energies Limited (86,639,377 shares) and Heirs Holdings Limited (33,760,623 shares).
