The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday arraigned a man, Salifu Olije Mustapha, before the Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Kubwa, Abuja, for allegedly posing as an operative of the anti-graft agency and defrauding unsuspecting members of the public. Mustapha was brought before Justice A.I. Akobi on a four-count charge bordering on impersonation and misrepresentation. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has transferred former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, to the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja following a court order for him to begin serving a 75-year prison term for money laundering. Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja, issued the directive on Tuesday after the EFCC presented the convict in court. The Edo State Police Command have arrested three suspected kidnappers in Jattu, Edo North, following intelligence-led operations linked to a recent abduction case in the area.
