Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has commended the outgoing Commissioner of Police, Bello Sani, for his contributions to peace and security in the state during his tenure. The governor gave the commendation on Wednesday in Birnin Kebbi at a send-off ceremony organised in honour of the retired police chief. Sani retired from the Nigeria Police Force after 34 years of service, having attained the mandatory retirement age of 60. Court sentences three to death for armed robbery in Kebbi

A Kebbi State High Court, sitting in Birnin Kebbi, has sentenced three men to death for armed robbery and criminal conspiracy. The convicts, Abdul Mohammed, Surajo Umar, and Aliyu Abdullahi, were found guilty by Justice Hassan Shehu Kuwa after standing trial on a nine-count charge bordering on armed robbery and conspiracy.
