Kabiru Muazu has been appointed the new General manager of newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Ranchers Bees. Muazu’s appointment was confirmed by club owners Sadiq Umar and president Nura Abdullahi on Tuesday. Two yet-to-be-identified undergraduates have been killed in a suspected cult attack in the Ede area of Osun State. PUNCH Metro learnt on Wednesday that the incident occurred on Tuesday. It was gathered that the students, numbering about six, were attacked in their off-campus apartment by suspected cultists. The Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission has urged electricity consumers in the state to escalate unresolved power complaints to the commission after reporting such issues to their distribution companies. LASERC made the call following the resolution of a year-long electricity crisis that affected Goshen Beach Estate in Lekki Phase I, Lagos. As Lagos and 14 other states fully regulate their electricity markets, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission has said it would no longer attend to complaints in those states. At least 32 African countries now spend more on debt servicing than on healthcare, exposing the growing human cost of the continent’s worsening debt crisis, experts said on Wednesday at the opening of the sixth edition of the AFRODAD Media Initiative (AFROMEDI VI) in Nairobi, Kenya. The Umuahia Central Bus Terminal built in Umuahia by the Abia State Government has been commissioned by Governor Alex Otti. Otti, who opened the terminal for operation on Wednesday, named the facility after Professor Nnenna Oti, the former INEC Returning Officer who announced his electoral victory in the 2023 governorship election.
