The National Credit Guarantee Company Limited and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to improve access to finance for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises across the country. UK-based staff at the Wikimedia Foundation (WMF), the nonprofit that supports Wikipedia, are pushing forward with their unionization drive. Jaiz Bank Plc paid N530.9 million in regulatory penalties in 2025, almost twelve times the N45 million it paid in 2024, according to its 2025 annual report, which detailed sanctions imposed by regulators during the year. The bank was sanctioned by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX) for breaches ranging from anti-money laundering and customer due diligence requirements to filing infractions. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) says it will decentralise coaching education across the country, allowing coaches to access certification programmes within their states and local communities rather than travelling to Abuja. The Katsina State Government has dismissed allegations that it sponsored Hajj pilgrimage for criminal elements, describing the claim as false and misleading.
