FTSE Russell, a London-based provider of global stock market indices, has added MTN Nigeria, Dangote Cement, First HoldCo, and seven other Nigerian public companies among the qualified equities for its Frontier Index Series, effective from 21 September. Others include Guaranty Trust Holding Company, Nestle Nigeria, Nigerian Breweries, Presco, Stanbic IBTC Holdings, and Aradel Holdings. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa (SLUK) branch, has issued a two-week ultimatum to the Jigawa State Government to implement the new university salary structure or face a full-scale industrial action.
