The governments of Anambra and Abia states have vowed to use principles of peaceful resolution to address lingering interstate boundary disputes between the two states. Nigeria has moved closer to eliminating trachoma, the world’s leading infectious cause of blindness, with only 11 local government areas (LGAs) yet to reach elimination status, according to the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. The Court of Appeal sitting in Ibadan has overturned a judgment of the Oyo State High Court that permitted Muslim students of the International School, University of Ibadan, to wear hijab as part of the school’s uniform.
