The University of Calabar has suspended 19 students over alleged examination misconduct following recommendations by the Students’ Disciplinary Committee. The suspension was conveyed in a letter signed by the Director of Administration, Dr Citizen Ekpo, on behalf of the Registrar, Dr Chukwuka Icha. The letter was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Calabar. Speaking on the development, the Head of the Public Relations Unit, Mr Effiong Eyo, said the suspension followed the university senate’s approval of the committee’s recommendations.
