A Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja has sentenced a man, Abdulrahman Lawal Raji, to 15 years imprisonment for defrauding a buyer of N26 million under the guise of supplying a Toyota Hilux vehicle. Justice Ismail Ijelu delivered the judgment on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, after finding Raji guilty of obtaining money by false pretence. The Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos, has arrested an accountant accused of masterminding a burglary in Maryland, Lagos, in which property worth about ₦150 million was stolen. The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the zone, Mr Olohundare Jimoh, disclosed this while briefing journalists on Tuesday in Lagos. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and State Security Service (SSS) have launched separate investigations into alleged unauthorised access to the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) database, following a social media post by the spokesperson to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Lere Olayinka, which appeared to show details from the commission’s voter registration records.
