Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested seven suspects during an intelligence-driven and multiple operations across Sango-Ota, Owode-Egba and Agbado area of the state. The suspects were arrested for armed robbery, house breaking, stealing, conspiracy, and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.  They are 17-year-old Mubarak Lateef, 21-year-old Pelumi Akintande, Mojeed Sanusi aged 28 years, Damilare Makanjuola aged 22, Ezra Modi aged 22, 28 years old Tijani Jubril and Waris Adebesin aged 22. The Federal Government has said it is partnering with the Food and Agriculture Organisation to strengthen Nigeria’s preparedness, detection and response to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza through a $350,000 intervention that will also train 240 animal health personnel. The Rivers State Police Command has arrested three suspects allegedly involved in the gruesome murder of a 55-year-old commercial driver, Christopher Akpabio, whose decomposing body was later exhumed from a shallow grave in Asarama Community, Andoni Local Government Area of the state. The Badminton Federation of Nigeria has announced vacancies for national coaching positions, with applications open until June 30, PUNCH Sports Extra reports. The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, has dissociated itself from the Take It Back, TIB, Movement led by activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, accusing the group of pursuing political objectives under the guise of activism.
