A 24-year old resident of Delta State, Jessica Anthony, has revealed that she contacted suspected armed robbers to rob her boyfriend and extort about N7 million to offset her sister’s hospital bills. The young lady was arrested by operatives of the Delta State command after her plans failed to materialize. Maureen Ajibade has been appointed the new head coach of the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, side Delta Queens. Ajibade’s appointment was confirmed by the Delta State Sports Commission. The new tactician will be assisted by Susan Aliyah and Jennifer Ajuyah. The shake-up marks a new phase for Delta Queens as they seek to stabilise and improve their performances in the remainder of the NWFL season. A deadly attack on a mining site in the Kuru community, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, has left seven people dead. It was learnt that the attack, which occurred on Wednesday night, also left others injured. The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Caleb Mutfwang on Artisanal Mining, Emmanuel Solomon, confirmed the killings to PUNCH Online in Jos on Thursday.
