Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Thursday met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Makinde arrived shortly after his colleague from Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, who recently dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the ruling All Progressives Party, APC, arrived at the State House. The Oyo governor proceeded straight to the President’s office. Bandits on Tuesday night launched a deadly attack on Kauran Fawa and Unguwar Jika communities in Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State, killing and abducting several residents. The Oyo State Police Command, on Thursday, said it recovered 26 stolen cows valued at ₦6.25m and arrested two suspected cattle rustlers, Abu Muhammed and Aliu Bello, at Iresaadu in Surulere Local Government Area of the state.
