Nigeria’s domestic refineries received only 28.5 million barrels of crude oil in the first quarter of 2026 despite producers offering 68.7 million barrels, according to new data released by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). In a statement issued on Tuesday, the commission said the statistics were part of its enforcement of the Domestic Crude Supply Obligation (DCSO) under the provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), 2021. Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested a 32-year-old suspected homosexual identified as Francis Duwa in Benin City. The operatives also rescued two of the suspect’s victims. A driver has been arrested following a fatal head-on collision on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, which claimed the life of a woman. The Director of Public Affairs, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Adebayo Taofiq, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, noting that the crash occurred at the Ilaje inward Iyana Oworo area of the bridge.
