Nigeria’s domestic refineries received only 28.5 million barrels of crude oil in the first quarter of 2026 despite producers offering 68.7 million barrels, according to new data released by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested a 32-year-old suspected homosexual identified as Francis Duwa in Benin City. The operatives also rescued two of the suspect’s victims. A driver has been arrested following a fatal head-on collision on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, which claimed the life of a woman.
