An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Friday remanded two men, Victor Christian and Success Samuel, over alleged illegal possession of firearms. Christian, 43, and Samuel, 29, are facing a three-count charge of conspiracy, belonging to a proscribed confraternity, and unlawful possession of firearms, filed by the police. The prosecutor, SP Josephine Ikhayere, told the court that the defendants, alongside others now at large, allegedly committed the offenses on Oct. 4, 2025, at about 10:05 pm, in the Nebanu area of Ishashi, Lagos. Leeds United head coach Daniel Farke has said new signing Leonard Ngenge will have  time to adapt to life at the club, DAILY POST reports. Ngenge joined the Premier League club from Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions, Remo Stars this week. The 19-year-old signed a contract until the end of the 2026/27 season. The Jigawa State Executive Council has approved a N1 billion recapitalisation of the state-owned Jigawa Savings and Loans Limited to strengthen its financial position and ensure regulatory compliance. The decision was announced by the Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports and Culture, Sagir Musa, during a press briefing on the outcome of the council’s first meeting of 2026, held in Dutse on Friday. The Taraba State Police Command has begun a probe into a suspected razor blade attack on a 17-year-old girl, Iwasen Terhemba, in the Donga Local Government Area of Taraba State following claims of persistent harassment by a married man. The National Power Grid collapsed once again, leaving parts of the country in darkness and disrupting electricity supply to millions of households and businesses. Checks by our correspondent revealed that electricity generation dropped sharply from over 4,500 megawatts to as low as 24 megawatts as of 1:30 pm.
