A Nigerian man, Odumayo Olufemi, has raised alarm after allegedly receiving N100,000 from individuals he identified as bandits during a TikTok live session, claiming they later demanded N100 million from him. Nollywood Actor-turned politician, Kenneth Okonkwo has alleged that the presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC and other party leaders in the South-East received were bribed during the recent primary elections. Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, made the allegation during an interview on Channels TV. Some communities in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State have reportedly been ordered by armed terrorists to purchase food items and other essentials for them, or face attacks. According to reports, the armed group invaded four communities Dakara, Gbenji Gidazana, Kpeya/Biyan, and Giragbasso/Imile—after allegedly emerging from the Kainji National Park.  The terrorists reportedly handed over a total of ₦12 million to community leaders to facilitate the purchase of requested items. Jose Mourinho has flown to Spain to finalize his move to Real Madrid. The Ondo State Police Command has rescued a 26-year-old woman abducted in Owo and arrested four suspects in connection with the incident, following a coordinated security operation involving police operatives, Amotekun corps, local hunters and vigilantes. Nigerians spent more than N50bn on United States visa applications between 2023 and 2024, despite a sharp decline in approvals as Washington tightened immigration controls and increased scrutiny of applicants. An analysis of the Intelpoint report, using data from the US Department of State, shows that 201,200 non-immigrant visas were issued to Nigerians between 2023 and 2024.
