The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) filed separate civil lawsuits against Goliath Ventures and founder Christopher Delgado over an alleged crypto Ponzi scheme that raised about $400 million. The SEC said Goliath raised at least $425 million from more than 1,300 investors through an unregistered securities offering. Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on Tuesday criticised one his predecessors, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, for withdrawing support from him ahead of Saturday’s governorship election. A married middle school teacher in Kentucky was arrested on a felony charge after she was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student. A former worker of the Anglican Diocese of Jos and two security operatives (names withheld) are helping the police over an alleged plot to kidnap the wives of the incumbent and immediate-past bishops, the diocese has revealed in a statement.
