Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration released N3 billion for capital projects of the Oyo State Security Network Agency and Amotekun Corps in the first half of 2026. Still, it made no expenditure on the agency’s overhead despite budgetary provisions, a review of official budget documents by PREMIUM TIMES has shown. The Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) has commenced a forensic investigation into the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Lotus Bank and Hackerbella Ltd following public complaints alleging the use of students’ personal data to open bank accounts without a lawful basis. The investigation was disclosed in a statement signed by the commission’s Head, Legal, Enforcement and Regulations, Babatunde Bamigboye, on Wednesday.
