The Chairman of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, Bliss Alabi Oshionogue, has been removed from office. This is following his impeachment by members of the legislative arm of the council. The impeachment was conveyed in a letter endorsed by seven councillors. Akwa Ibom State Police Command says it has arrested a car snatcher who robbed a bolt driver of his Toyota Corolla vehicle at gunpoint in Uyo.
