Ogunwole, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, declared the result at the state collation centre at about 7:24am. The incumbent governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has won his re-election bid after defeating 14 other candidates to win Saturday’s governorship election in the state. Mr Adeleke of the Accord party was formally declared the winner of the election by the INEC returning officer, Joshua Ogunwole, on Sunday morning at the INEC headquarters in Osogbo, the Osun State capital. South Korean President Lee Myung-bak has proposed talks with North Korea, its northern neighbour, to end the long-running Korean War. The Borno State Police Command has recovered a hand grenade from a drainage slab in the Moduganari area of Maiduguri, the state capital. The unexploded ordnance was recovered by operatives of the EOD-CBRN Base 13, Maiduguri, after the command received a report about the suspected explosive on Saturday.
