It looks like Patrick and Brittany Mahomes’ son, Bronze, adores Taylor Swift just as much as anybody else. The toddler, 3, whose dad, 30, plays alongside Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL, was seen pointing at a photo of the pop star, 36, while recently walking with his famous parents through Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo. Both Mr Fagbemi and Mr Oyedepo are Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs). The Legal Aid Council…
International Monetary Fund [IMF] In a qualified sense, the fund’s report presents a picture of an economy that is stronger financially, today, than it was three years ago, but not yet strong socially. Put this way, the IMF’s report simply reinforces something the average Joe on Nigeria’s streets has known about the economy for some time now: “The stabilisation phase has largely succeeded, but Nigeria now needs to convert macroeconomic gains into improvements in living standards.” The IMF’s staff report on its 2026 Article IV Consultation with Nigeria is a very political document — mealy-mouthed, even if one of the…

Ijaw and Urhobo leaders in Delta State have reluctantly accepted a presidential intervention regarding the contested Warri electoral boundaries. Out of respect for President Bola Tinubu and to preserve local peace, the leaders said they agreed to a revised ward structure in the Warri South-West Local Government Area. Under the new arrangement, the number of Ijaw electoral wards drops from 14 to 11, while Itsekiri wards increase from four to nine. The compromise aims to resolve a long-standing dispute over the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’s fresh delineation report. The leaders, however, warned that they would resist any further alteration…
