The Bauchi State Economic Council has approved monthly stipends for imams and pastors across the state. Governor Bala Mohammed chaired the council meeting on Friday, with senior officials from the state’s finance and revenue sectors in attendance. The Osun State Police Command on Friday said it had arrested four people, including an imam, over the death of a worshipper, Najeem Hammed. A dispute has erupted between the family of a 42-year-old woman, Adunola Abiola, and a Lagos-based firm, Medical Ambulance Service, over the circumstances surrounding her death at a hospital in the state in November 2025.
