Former Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has been appointed new manager of Saudi First Division League outfit Al-Ula FC. Peseiro last managed Egyptian Premier League club, Zamalek. The 65-year-old was in charge of Zamalek for four months, before he was sacked by the former African champions. The Portuguese guided the Super Eagles to a second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire. The Nigeria Football Federation has welcomed the nationality switch of Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, expressing optimism about adding the 24-year-old to its goalkeeping options. Residents of Puposhola in the New Oko-Oba area of Lagos State have appealed to the state government to fix the dilapidated road in their community. The residents claimed that the bad road had subjected them to untold hardship and unnecessary spending.
