The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has condemned the Nigerian government, accusing President Bola Tinubu’s administration of embarrassment and moral cowardice over the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife by the United States. Former Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has been appointed new manager of Saudi First Division League outfit Al-Ula FC. Peseiro last managed Egyptian Premier League club, Zamalek. The 65-year-old was in charge of Zamalek for four months, before he was sacked by the former African champions. The Portuguese guided the Super Eagles to a second-place finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire. Al-Ula FC currently occupy fourth position on the table, and will hope Peseiro help  them secure promotion to the Saudi Pro League next campaign.

The Nigeria Football Federation has welcomed the nationality switch of Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, expressing optimism about adding the 24-year-old to its goalkeeping options. Residents of Puposhola in the New Oko-Oba area of Lagos State have appealed to the state government to fix the dilapidated road in their community. The residents claimed that the bad road had subjected them to untold hardship and unnecessary spending. Overgeneralisation means applying a grammatical rule to every circumstance even when there are exemptions. Put differently, it means erroneously applying the rule too broadly, including to situations where other principles or rules should apply. The syndrome is supposed to primarily be a growth disease as children approach language issues with innocence and indiscriminate extension of concepts to different contexts. Parts of the Katsina metropolis were thrown into darkness following a fire incident involving a 15 MVA power transformer at the IBB Way Injection Substation, the Kano Electricity Distribution Company has said. The Vice-Chancellor of Moddibo Adama University, Yola, Professor Ibrahim Umar, has faulted claims of underpayment levelled against the institution by a professor in its Department of Education Foundations, Martins Fabunmi, to the tune of over N4m.
