The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has said that some political leaders are misleading Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, amid rising political tension in the south-southern state. Women from three villages of Amaidi Amanyanwu and Onuzo in Imobi autonomous community of Uturu, Abia State, on Tuesday morning protested around the community, alleging that some individuals from one of the villages are attempting to grab control of granite deposits in their land. The Benue State Police Command has taken into custody three individuals over alleged involvement in robbery and cult-related activities, barely days after four suspected cultists were arrested in Gboko Local Government Area following a violent confrontation that reportedly claimed the lives of two persons. A total of 22 communities in Ibadan, Oyo State, will experience about three hours of daily power outage due to ongoing road construction, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company has said. In a statement issued on its Facebook Page on Tuesday, IBEDC attributed the outage to road construction works along Foodco Road and Idi Isin, which necessitated the relocation of some of its facilities and assets in the area.
