Hardware manufacturer and Bitcoin miner Canaan has continued its initiative of reusing energy for commercial and consumer applications by making compute heat available for greenhouses in Canada. The sad news coming from Edo State is that one of the two brothers abducted recently in the state has been killed by their abductors. PREMIUM TIMES earlier reported that suspected kidnappers abducted the two brothers – Abu Ibrahim Babatunde, a medical doctor, and his brother, Abu Tahir, in Auchi, Edo State, on Thursday. Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Airport Police Command, have arrested a 20-year-old suspected internet fraudster for allegedly defrauding foreign victims, mostly in the United States, of about N1.25bn and several costly electronic gadgets. The suspect, Essien Akpama, was arrested on 5 January 2026 while attempting to board a flight out of Lagos State.
