Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja has admitted former Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, SAN, to bail in the sum of N500m pending his trial in the money laundering offences brought against him by the federal government. Malami is to produce two sureties who will stand for him in the like sum. Police arrest international romance suspect over alleged billion Naira scam

The Nigeria Police Force, said its airport police has arrested a notorious celebrity scam and romance fraud suspect. ASP Mohammed Adeola Police Public Relations Officer, Airport Police Command, Lagos in a statement said the suspect was responsible for defrauding multiple victims in the United States of America of over N1,000,000,000 (one billion naira), which on conversion amounts to over one million United States dollars. Iran army chief threatens response to Trump, Netanyahu’s threats

Three brothers killed in GNI fire set for January burial

The three Omatu brothers who died in the inferno that gutted the 25-storey Great Nigeria Insurance House on Lagos Island, Lagos State, will be buried on January 14. AB InBev reacquires US can plant stake for bn

Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewer, has announced plans to buy back a 49.9 per cent stake in its U.S. metal container plants for approximately $3 bn, according to Reuters. The deal covers seven plants across six U.S. states, previously sold in 2020 to a group of investors led by Apollo Global Management.
