Jersey to repatriate over .5m Abacha loot to Nigeria

The Bailiwick of Jersey is set to return more than $9.5 million, deemed to be part of the proceeds of corruption, seized from Nigeria’s former military leader, Sani Abacha, to the Nigerian government. The money will be channelled towards a major infrastructure project in Nigeria. A statement issued on Friday by the British High Commission disclosed that the money is being repatriated to Nigeria following the Jersey Memorandum of Understanding with the federal government. Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has said the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway is already serving its purpose as the Federal Government intensifies efforts to complete its Section One. The FCC is letting SpaceX launch 7,500 more Starlink satellites

The FCC approved SpaceX’s plan to launch an additional 7,500 Gen2 Starlink satellites on Friday. That brings the total number of satellites the company will have in orbit to around 15,000 worldwide. As part of the approval, the government is also waiving previous requirements that prevented overlapping coverage and enhanced capacity.SpaceX originally sought approval for 30,000 satellites, but for now, the FCC is only greenlighting 15,000.
