An American movie actor in the popular movie series ‘The Wire’, Lance Reddick has died at the age of 60, BBC reports. The deceased was also known for starring as Charon in the John Wick action-thriller movie franchise as well as in the Resident Evil Netflix series and the science fiction-action movie Godzilla vs. Kong. The team were on election monitoring duty at School Road in Unguwan Rimi, when vote buyers and their supporters blocked them from arresting a suspect. The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Ezza North Local Government Area, Peter Nweke, who was allegedly beaten by thugs suspected to be loyal to the ruling All Progressives Congress in Ebonyi State, is dead. Nweke reportedly died from injuries he sustained from attacks by hoodlums on Saturday, during the governorship and state Assembly elections. EVIDENCE emerges regularly that governance at the sub-national level in Nigeria is particularly dismal and marked by lack of accountability. The situation is ironic. While monthly statutory receipts from the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee to the 36 states are increasing, poverty is also expanding among Nigerians.
