Police hunt killers of Rivers APC campaign director

The police in Rivers State said it had launched a full-scale investigation into the circumstances leading to the abduction and killing of the All Progressives Congress Campaign Coordinator in Ahoada-West Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chisom Lennard. The spokesperson for the state Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, disclosed this in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Sunday. Iringe-Koko said the Commissioner of Police in charge of elections duties in the Rivers State Command, Echeng Echeng, had charged operatives to mobilise all its arsenal and necessary human assets to ensure that the killers were apprehended and prosecuted. Kogi police confirm gunmen attack on INEC officials

The Kogi State Police Command has confirmed the attack on the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission and some ad hoc staff by armed hoodlums in the state. The attack was said to have occurred on Sunday at Obajana while the INEC team was on their way from Kupa North and South Wards to the constituency collation centre in Lokoja.
