The police in Rivers State said it had launched a full-scale investigation into the circumstances leading to the abduction and killing of the All Progressives Congress Campaign Coordinator in Ahoada-West Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chisom Lennard. The spokesperson for the state Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, disclosed this in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Sunday. The Kogi State Police Command has confirmed the attack on the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission and some ad hoc staff by armed hoodlums in the state.
