The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed 10 March for the hearing of a N1.2 billion fundamental rights enforcement suit filed by human rights activist and SaharaReporter publisher, Omoyele Sowore, against the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and other officials. A fatal road accident occurred on Wednesday in Lagos when an empty petrol tanker ran into a commercial motorcycle, killing both the rider and his passenger at Pokia Junction, inward Araga, along the Epe–Ijebu Road in Epe. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority arrested the tanker driver and handed him over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation.
