Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has explained why he took off Erling Haaland during their 2-0 defeat to Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has commenced an investigation into a petition against the former Managing Director of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Farouk Ahmed, filed by the Chairman of Dangote Industries, Aliko Dangote. The probe, according to EFCC sources, will include writing to the Swiss school where Ahmed’s children are enrolled. The Anambra State Police Command has warned individuals and groups to desist from organising or participating in any form of march or street protest or unlawful gatherings within Awka, the State capital, in the interest of public safety, peace, and public order. Gunmen have killed a policeman and abducted a Chinese expatriate during an attack on a farm in Ogunmakin Community, Ibadan area of Oyo State. Sunday PUNCH gathered that the incident occurred at about 1 pm on Thursday at Aqua Triton Company when around 10 armed men stormed the facility in a commando-style operation. The Ondo State Police Command on Friday said it arrested no fewer than 2500 suspected criminals across the 18 local government areas of the state in 2025. According to the command, the suspects were allegedly involved in crimes such as kidnapping, robbery, murder , stealing, cultism and vandalism among others.
