The Nigerian equity market reversed its bullish trend on Thursday, losing ₦557 billion after two days of modest gains during the week. Market analysts said selloffs in key stocks “pushed the market into negative territory” despite earlier optimism. Ahead of the 2027 general polls, Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, has made it clear that no district will have a candidate forced on it by his administration. The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State has said that no fewer than 70,000 party members have been registered in the ongoing APC e-membership registration and revalidation exercise across the state’s 17 local government areas. Properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed following separate fire incidents that ravaged a church and a petroleum station in Oyo State. DAILY POST gathered that the church was gutted by fire on Thursday, while the petroleum station was razed on Wednesday. Our correspondent reports that the church is located in Ilora.
