The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Lagos State has finalized arrangements to begin a 50-day rotational Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, exercise across all wards in the state. The Lagos State Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Prof. Ayobami Salami, disclosed this on Sunday while addressing stakeholders at a meeting on the second phase of the CVR exercise. The Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abuja, has reacted to the death of singer, Ifunanya Nwagene, popularly known as Nanyah, clarifying that medical personnel made concerted efforts to save her life after she was brought to the hospital following a snake bite. The hospital explained that Nwagene arrived at the facility alive and was immediately attended to by doctors, but her condition deteriorated due to complications arising from the bite. “Our medical team made every possible efforts to stabilise her, but unfortunately, she did not survive,” the hospital stated.
