President Bola Tinubu has renewed the tenure of the Director-General of the National Television Authority (NTA) and the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) for another three-year term. The Lagos State Government has commenced the construction of six roads in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government and Ifelodun Local Council Development Area, with the projects expected to improve access to markets and public facilities, ease movement and strengthen economic activity in the densely populated communities. At least nine people have reportedly died in a road crash on the Bida-Kutigi-Mokwa road in Niger State. The crash occurred in the early hours of Sunday between Lanle and Shaba Woro communities. According to eyewitness accounts, the accident involved a Mazda vehicle travelling from Minna towards Mokwa and a Sienna vehicle reportedly travelling from Lagos to Minna. The two vehicles reportedly collided after the Mazda entered a blind corner. The Lagos Waste Management Authority has commenced a special intervention to clear accumulated waste along the Ayobo-Ipaja axis, particularly Megida and its environs, following concerns over indiscriminate dumping on road medians within the area. A woman has died while two other persons are receiving treatment following a road crash along IET New Horizons Road in the Old Airport Quarters area of Minna, Niger State.
