A civil society group, Independent Hajj Reporters (IHR), has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the Central Bank of Nigeria’s directive requiring ATM cards for the payment of the Basic Travel Allowance (BTA) to pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj. The Police Command in Ondo State says it has arrested suspected human traffickers and rescued 14 victims in the state. DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the command’s spokesperson, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Akure on Saturday.
