A breakdown of emergency statistics released by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency has revealed that no fewer than 173 people died in 1,156 emergencies recorded across the state in 2025. This came as the agency said it was fully prepared to tackle emergencies across the state in the new year. An analysis of the report obtained on Sunday showed a decline in the number of emergencies recorded in the state compared to 2024.
