Armed bandits massacred 75 Muslims during an attack on Woro and Nuku communities of Kaiama Local Government in Kwara North Senatorial District of the state on Tuesday. A former presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, has dismissed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a credible alternative for the 2027 elections, describing its key players as part of the nation’s problems. The Oyo State Government, through the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, says it has arrested no fewer than 19 illegal scavengers within Ibadan metropolis. Commissioner for the Ministry, Ademola Aderinto, disclosed this during an interview held in his office on Wednesday. Aderinto stated that the arrests followed a 24-hour surveillance operation to curb illegal scavenging activities, popularly known as “BOLA,” in order to prevent infrastructure vandalism, enhance public safety, and promote environmental sustainability across the state. Nigeria’s Falconets have arrived Abeokuta for their clash with the Lionesses de Téranga of Senegal, DAILY POST reports. Moses Aduku’s side rounded up the second phase of their preparations in Ibadan on Tuesday. The Falconets arrived Ibadan from Abuja on January 27. They defeated Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, side FC Robo 2-1 in afriendly last weekend.
