Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Thursday, inducted 3,933 newly recruited primary healthcare workers. Mr Makinde, during the induction held in Ibadan, said that health workers were the heart of the state’s healthcare delivery system.He said that primary health workers were closer to the people at the grassroots. Survivors of the mass abduction in Kurmin Wali village, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, have shared the hardships they endured while held captive. The Ondo State Police Command on Thursday said that it had arrested four persons over the abduction of a woman in the Ilu-Abo community in Akure North Local Government Area of the state. The victim, a school proprietor, Mrs Tomiola Oladehinde, was abducted by unknown gunmen at the entrance of her house in the community last Sunday evening.
