The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has confirmed the dates it would issue Certificates of Return to Governors-elect. The commission took the decision following a meeting on March 25, 2023, which is one week after the gubernatorial elections were conducted around the country. Zamfara State Police Command said it has so far arrested 40 suspects alleged to have been involved in vandalising APC and government’s properties in the looting that erupted after PDP governorship candidate, Dauda Lawal Dare was declared winner.
