A crypto attacker apparently took over a whale’s multisig wallet minutes after it was created 44 days ago, and has been draining and laundering funds in stages since.In a Thursday post on X, blockchain security firm PeckShield reported that a whale’s multisig wallet had been drained of roughly $27.3 million due to a private key compromise. Court frees Ngige on bail after six-day detention

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Gwarinpa, Abuja, on Thursday granted bail to a former Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, who is facing N2.2 billion fraud charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). It comes after Mr Ngige spent six days in prison in Abuja, where trial judge Maryam Hassan detained him on 12 December to await bail hearing and ruling. Malami to remain in EFCC custody as court rejects bail application

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT,  High Court on Thursday rejected the bail application of a former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami. Malami had in the application sought bail from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. In his ruling, the presiding judge, Justice Babangida Hassan, said Malami’s detention was lawful and backed by a valid court order. An Akwa Ibom State High Court has sentenced four men to death by hanging for their involvement in series of kidnappings in Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State and neighboring communities in Rivers State.
