An Abuja Federal High Court has halted the production of an energy drink in a copied bottle design that is the subject of a copyright dispute.  The court presided by Justice Binta Nyako, ordered Mamuda Beverages Nigeria Limited to stop producing its Pop Power Energy Drink in a copied bottle design on the grounds that it infringes on the trademark of Fearless Energy Drink, a brand of Rite Foods Limited. Former Benue State Commissioner for Finance, Dr David Olofu, has emerged as the senatorial flag bearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Benue South ahead of the 2027 general election. The Kano State Police Command has arrested three suspects and recovered stolen vehicles in a crackdown on car theft in the state. The Police Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday. He said the arrests were made on May 16 when operatives of the Command’s Special Intervention Squad acted on credible intelligence and apprehended three suspects linked to a stolen Toyota Camry. Security was tightened in South Africa’s Kruger National Park nature reserve after two tourists were found killed there, authorities said on Sunday. The two South African victims, a 71-year-old man and a woman whose age was not disclosed, failed to return to their lodge on Wednesday evening, prompting a search operation.
