The Borno State Police Command has called on residents to remain vigilant and security conscious following recent incidents involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs) recorded in parts of the state. At least six people have died and six others were injured after an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated along the Bagega–Anka road in Zamfara State. The blast occurred early on Thursday when a commercial vehicle conveying passengers was travelling along the road in Anka Local Government Area. The explosion reportedly damaged the vehicle and disrupted movement in the area. Residents said suspected bandits planted the explosive device, which went off as the vehicle passed.
